The virtual kick-off meeting of the ASIMUTE project took place on November 21. The three-year Interreg project deals with intelligent self-consumption and storage for a better use of energy in the electricity supply. Nine research partners and other associated companies from France, Germany and Switzerland will work together intensively over the next three years. From Offenburg University, the Institute for Sustainable Energy Systems (INES) and Prof. Schmidt's team will work on robust energy management systems for the efficient interaction of the various generators, storage systems and consumers. At the Institute for Reliable Embedded Systems and Communication Electronics (ivESK), Prof. Sikora's team will be working on the data security of intelligent systems in the so-called Home Area Network (HAN).
